After learning about the Wright Brothers on Friday, the Kindergarteners decided to take to the air and build our own airplanes. Initially, we thought large (like 747). We then came to the conclusion that it might be best for us to start small…we have to have something to grow into! We each built our own paper airplanes then took to the playground for our very own runway, without the sand dunes, of course.
Prior to Takeoff!
We have flight!

On Friday, our friends came dressed in their Spring time best. All of the children looked adorable, so we decided a class picture was in order. It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is to get all of them looking at one time. Below is the best, but check out Photobucket for the rest!

On Wednesday, we were green for many reasons! First, we were green for the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to pinch anyone in our class as they all came decked out from head to toe! We were even surprised by a little Leprechaun Luck when we discovered that a visitor had left his magic powder. We decided to put ours on top of some applesauce. The results were magically amazing! Then, we were green with envy as we said goodbye to a friend that was headed for Disney World!
The magic powder we discovered.
Drew began to stir in the powder and his snack turned green!
Sammy was hesitant to give his a try!
Check us out on Photobucket for our great green day!
As mentioned in the email that went out today, we are preparing for our Spring Eggstravaganza. We will celebrate the coming season and its respective holiday on Friday, March 26th from 12:30-1:30. Immediately after lunch (12:30), we will join Mrs. Ross’ Kindergarten class, and the First and Second Grade classes for an Easter Egg Hunt. Then, we will head to the classroom for a small craft/snack. Each child needs to bring 12 filled plastic eggs by Wednesday, March 24th for the Egg Hunt. Please leave a comment on this blog if you would like to provide an item for our craft/snack.
Items that are needed include:
- 1 bag pretzel sticks
- 1 can frosting
- 1 bag jelly beans
- 1 package peeps (12 peeps total)
- Sweet treat (cookies, brownies, cupcakes, etc)
- juice
We had a fabulous field trip last Friday as we visited the Dhillon Family Dentistry. After a tour of the office, we broke up into groups with the Dental Hygenists and Assistants. Ms. Sherie and Ms. Ashley played hilarious informational videos for us about proper dental care and check-ups. Then, they let us discover all of the tools that the hygeniests use when they clean our teeth. We loved riding on the chair, playing with Mr. Thirsty, and checking to see how clean our teeth really were.
Eric found an extra set of teeth lying around.
Drew loved the water squirter!
Who knew you could become a dentist in under an hour?
Thank you so much to everyone at Dhillon Family Dentistry for our amazing field trip! (And be sure to check out their website!)

The Kindergartners are playing. They went outside and slid on ice and couldn’t get up ’til Springtime!
On Tuesday, we were able to enjoy a chilly gift from mother nature with a walk through a winter wonderland. We loved trying to catch the snow on our tongue and throwing snowballs!
Johannes is wondering why in the world there is snow in March!
Kate is wondering when we are going inside!
Drequan is wondering what he ever did to Victoria!
Check us out on Photobucket for all the play on our snowy day!
