The First Day of Kindergarten

Buckle your seatbelts, because the Magic School Bus has hit the road.  We started off the year with a fun day of getting to know each other.  To begin the day, each student illustrated themselves on their first day.  Be sure and check out our creations on the School Bus outside our door.  The students then created their own classroom rules and were introduced to each of our centers.  After we learned how our centers were used, we chose a center to play in.  Lunch and recess were quite an adventure that left all of us ready for nap time, but, being the big Kindergarteners that we are, we opted for quiet reading before Math.  We finished off our day by searching for friends with our “On the Lookout for New Friends” glasses that we brought home.  Here you can see our first, official Kindergarten picture.
